Full-stack software, architected to outlast the first release

I build the frontend, the backend, and everything in between — as one coherent system, not a pile of quick fixes.

The problem with most "full-stack" work

Most software doesn't fail because the first version was slow to ship. It fails eighteen months later, when nobody can safely add a feature without breaking three others — because the frontend and backend were bolted together by different people who never talked to each other, and no one owned the whole picture.

I work as one person across the entire stack, so the data model, the API, and the UI are designed together from day one. That's the difference between software that bends as your product grows and software you quietly start planning to rewrite.

Who this is for

  • Startup founders who need an MVP that can survive real users, not just a demo
  • Small business owners replacing spreadsheets and email chains with a real internal tool
  • Teams with an existing app that's become too fragile to extend safely

What you get

  • A data model and API contract designed before a single UI component gets built
  • A React/TypeScript frontend that's fast, accessible, and doesn't quietly rot after launch
  • A Node.js/Fastify backend with authentication, validation, and rate-limiting handled properly, not bolted on later
  • CI/CD from day one — every change is tested and deployed the same way, automatically
  • Documentation and clean handover — you own the code, and the next developer (even if it's not me) can read it

How I work

  1. Scope call — we define what "done" actually means before any code gets written
  2. Architecture first — data model, API shape, and key technical decisions locked down
  3. Build in visible increments — you see working software every week, not a big reveal at the end
  4. Test and harden — the boring-but-critical part: edge cases, error states, load
  5. Ship and hand over — deployed, documented, and yours

Stack I use day to day

React · Next.js · TypeScript · Node.js · Fastify · Deno · PostgreSQL · MongoDB · Docker · AWS / DigitalOcean / Vercel

Common questions

Do I need to know exactly what I want before we start? No — most clients don't. Part of the first call is turning a rough idea into a scoped, buildable plan.

Will you work with my existing codebase, or does it have to be a rewrite? Usually the former. I'll tell you honestly if a rewrite is the better call, but that's rarely the first move.

What if my needs change after we start? They usually do. I build in short, visible increments specifically so we can adjust direction without throwing away work.
